Have there been many big Virginia bucks taken?
You betcha! There are quite a few Virginia
record bucks - just check out the Pope & Young
Club or the Boone & Crockett Club to learn
about them. Some Virginia trophy deer are
pictured below, with a notation of the hunter,
county, and date of kill. We'll be posting more in
time to come. Enjoy.
Tony Hodges, 22pt, Henry Co., 2006 Pope & Young Score
of 197 3/8 but only held the record for 3 years... until
John Feazell's buck (see 1st pics above) came along.
John Feazell, 22 pt. Botetourt Co., 2009 Pope & Young score of 221 2/8 & new VA state non-typical record

James Smith, 31pt. Warren Co., 1992
Sean Huffam, 19pt. Rockbridge Co., 2009
Delanie Babb, 8 pt. Southampton Co., 2009
Bryon Lytton, 16pt. Pulaski Co., 2005
Dennis Carter, 8 pt. Pittsylvania Co. 2006. This is a fine deer
taken by a friend of mine & deserves "honorable mention" as
it has some good mass and nice lengthy tines, but not quite
the symmetry and spread to put it in the books.
